With a new season ahead, are you ready to start your Spring shopping? So, there are definitely some great styles available.
One Stop Spring Shopping
In the same fashion, you may be wondering what some of the trends are for the season. Since there are always new trends every season; certainly there are some styles I don’t feel will have staying power. So, my biggest recommendation for the season are:
- Ultra Violet – for more on this color, check out my Pantone 2018 Color Ultra Violet post.
- Gingham prints – Be sure to visit my upcoming Gingham post.
- Unique Necklines – With the off-the-shoulder trend being so big the last few seasons; this season is all about deep v-neck, square and asymmetrical necklines.
- White – In my opinion, white is my go-to color for the Spring and Summer season. There is something so pure and fresh about this color. When you have a sun-tan (faux tan), white always pops.
- Polka dots – This is one of the biggest patterns showing up everywhere.
Skip these Spring Trends
- Transparent – Lately, I’ve seen this showing up over handbags and shoes. But, do you really want to wear a plastic baggie over your accessories and shoes? In my opinion, this trend holds no appeal whatsoever.
- Dark denim – Although dark denim is showing up as a big look this Spring; personally I prefer dark denim for the Fall and Winter season. But, that is my opinion. Maybe, not yours.
- Exposed briefs – Really, this is a trend I never understood. And, I still don’t get it. Why would someone wear their lingerie underneath a sheer dress. Perhaps, a mesh top and a fun camisole or bra works, but skip the sheer dress that shows your lingerie.
Spring Shopping
Since ultra violet is showing up everywhere this season, the v-neck print white and purple elbow sleeve shirt is the ideal style to pair with jeans or a skirt. Also, this style is figure flattering and comes in larger sizes.
Of course, gingham is popular once again this season. As seen below, this fresh alternative with an edgy vibe gives appeal to the gingham dress below.
Finally, we’re seeing something new. Some of the biggest necklines we’re seeing frequently is the asymmetrical neckline, deep v-neck’s and bateau styles. No doubt, this little black dress with the strappy cut-out and plunging v-neck line will “Wow” him.
Also, the asymmetrical bow shoulder high-low maxi dress is something you can wear for dancing, a party or a special occasion.
The white dress below is a “Must” for your wardrobe. This dress is not see through and is super comfortable. In fact, I bought this dress in three colors. Without a doubt, this will be the dress of the season for me as it is very versatile. Wear it to a party, out to dinner, a date, or casual. Above all, this is priced under $20.00 – cheaper than lunch!
The polka dots dress below is perfect to take you from work to After 5. In addition, this style has a relaxed fit making it extremely comfortable to wear all day.
