Are you ready to venture out to a Farmers Market nearby? Since so many of us love pasta, today’s post will let you in on some healthy and new recipes to try this season.
Farmers Market Pasta
In the first place, how many of you seek out a local Farmers Market week after week? Or, perhaps you’re on the look-out for a new one to check-out. Indeed, there are new Farmers Markets popping up all over the world. So, it is easy to find one in your surrounding neighborhood.
With the warmer weather here, it is time to take your meals outside.
Farmers Market Pasta Recipes
Fresh from the Farmers Market, it is easy to find colorful vegetables to create a delicious pasta salad. And, if you have your own garden, you can use these to create some “yummy” recipes.
For instance, one of my favorite recipes is to roast or grill peppers and eggplant.
Also, if you’re looking to get creative; you can make your own pasta using the Spiralizer below. No doubt, this easy-to-use Spiralizer will have you creating curly, thin or straight pasta. Hence, you can use zucchini, squash, carrots, eggplant or beets.
When you’re using the Spiralizer and are ready to turn your meals up a notch; add fresh basil, tomatoes and eggplant. Additionally, you can add mozzarella balls.
Are you ready to make your own pasta salad dressing? In my opinion, one of the easiest and healthiest recipes is to use a tablespoon of extra light virgin olive oil, a tablespoon of red wine vinegar, fresh oregano chopped thinly, fresh minced garlic, black pepper and a tablespoon of Dijon mustard. Next, whisk all ingredients together to create a creamy and tasty vinaigrette dressing.
Once all your ingredients are prepared, my recommendation is to toss it together and refrigerate for a few hours before serving.
Another recipe suggestion is to make a lemon vinaigrette dressing using fresh Myers lemons, fresh basil, black ground pepper, minced garlic and mix vigorously and toss over some curly pasta noodles.
