Flower Power is everywhere. Recently at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, flowers were a fashion staple. Flowers and floral prints showed up on everything from high-waist shorts, halters, dresses, cowboy boots and wreath sized flower crowns.
Flower Power
Some of the 2016 trends we are seeing in color, design and floral varieties that will be showing up in fashion such as:
- Organic Flowers
- Loose Flowers
- Roses
- Wildflowers
- Mismatched Flowers
- Sunflower
- Daisy
- Peonies
- Garden Roses
- Soft Colors
Flower trends for 2016 are shaping fashion, lifestyle and decorating trends. Daisy, delphinium, gerbera and sunflower in intense colors are particularly inspirational by intense global colors. Loose, wild, intense colors and mixed textures are being shown in yarns, denim, sunshine, red and hot orange. Pantone’s 2016 Colors (see my Pantone’s 2016 earlier blog post) are being seen in pastel floral arrangements showing up in fashions, floral arrangements and home décor. These soft colors are providing a fairy tale feel. Metallic colors of gold, silver, copper, champagne are seen in many rich luxurious theme floral patterns.
Wearable Floral Accessories
We are seeing lots of delicate floral headpieces, floral jewelry and handbags turning heads this season. The handbag featured below is “Green” (eco-friendly) and has removable shoulder straps. The handbag is perfect for casual, streetwear, parties and special events.

The dress below is the perfect to wear to a garden party or event. In addition, I love the V-neck with the big roses.
Also, the Women’s floral bicycle design with rhinestone embellishment in 3/4 sleeve is the perfect T-shirt to add to your closet. This top is multi-functional and can be worn with pants, jeans, shorts or a skirt.
For instance, the Men’s floral T-shirt is a great style embodying street vibe mixed with hip hop culture. Moreover, I love the colors and think this is a great addition to any Man’s closet.
Flowers are showing up in all kinds of patterns and styles, both in fashion and home accents. Of course, with the right mix of style and subtle print is a sure hit for the Summer season. To summarize, everything old is new again. In conclusion, the old fashioned flower in particular packs a powerful punch.
As always, I welcome your comments.
