So, today is National Honesty Day. First and foremost, this day was created by M. Hirsh Goldberg. In the same way, he chose April for two reasons. And second, it is the anniversary date of the First Inauguration of George Washington.
National Honesty Day
By being straightforward and honest today when anyone asks you a question; you’re acknowledging the importance of honesty. When someone asks you a question, be direct. No doubt, we live in a world where lies are told all the time. Whether it is a business, politician or someone disappoints you by not telling the truth, it is important that you try to understand their words.
Next time someone tells you something not truthful; ask them why they’re not being honest with you. Moreover, say what you really feel today. By being honest in our communication, we’re developing truthful relationships. No matter what anyone asks of you, be truthful.
Celebrate National Honesty Day
So, you may wonder how you can celebrate this fun holiday. Hence, be honest and truthful today. In fact, this may seem simple. Yet, how many of us cover up the truth by embellishing words and telling half the truth. Sometimes it may be necessary to tell a white lie to protect someone we care about from getting hurt. So, is this really telling a lie? Well, it depends on how you look at it.
Because today is a day to share the truth, let’s try to renew our ethics. When you encounter a business or person who is dishonest, it is important to let others know about a business or person’s deceit.
Let’s celebrate today to restore our trust in people and situations. In my opinion, although today is National Honesty Day; it really should be that type of day every day.
