While the month of August Baseball is ending, we still have one more month of regular-season games remaining. The baseball season begins with 162 games. Since there are 30 games left to play, there are many teams in contention for a playoff spot. What team do you think has the best chance?
August Baseball
August is a month many Baseball lovers are following. Since there are so many close divisional races presently, it is still too early to call what teams will make the playoffs. First thing in the morning, I usually check the baseball standings.
Due to many close divisional races, I wanted to share some of my baseball predictions with you.
Teams to Watch
Baseball lovers look forward to the last five weeks of baseball. Seven months of work could be lost over the next month. Hence, we are seeing the best in baseball. Unfortunately, the Red Sox were beaten by the Kansas City Royals on Sunday, August 29th. Josh Donaldson’s three home runs beat the Minnesota Twins on Sunday, August 29th. Baseball action is heating up.
Boston Red Sox
Of course, I’m hopeful for the Boston Red Sox to be in the playoffs. So with that being said, some things to note. While the Red Sox are leading the majors in many offensive categories, their bullpen is in trouble. Red Sox Bullpen has been struggling. Relievers haven’t been able to keep the lead handed to them. An ERA is growing amongst many of the relief pitchers.
On nights pitching is good, the offense has been lackluster. On nights the team leads, the bullpen loses the game. With 30 games to go, I will be watching closely to see if this team can make the playoffs.
Toronto Blue Jays
Since this team seems to be at its peak at the right time, they seem to be the team to beat. Offense and pitching have been very good over the stretch. Will Toronto win the American League East again?
Baltimore Orioles
While the Orioles have been in first place the majority of the season, their rotation is one of the worst in the American League. Is their starting pitching going to come together over the next month? Is this team fading?
Conclusion
Since I am a huge Boston Red Sox fan, I am focusing this post on the American League East. There are approximately thirty games remaining. Anything can happen. Since there are so many close divisional races happening, it will be fun to watch the remaining games. August baseball is coming to a close. I’m looking forward to Septembers games and seeing who makes the playoffs.
