Are you planning to visit New England this Fall? Now is the perfect time to make your plans. If you’re looking for some fun ideas to kick off your weekend, there are so many beautiful places to explore.

Autumn in New England

First and foremost, Autumn in New England is well-known for its beautiful Fall foliage. So, this is the perfect time to experience the beautiful colors as the leaves change. Consequently, the leaves start turning the middle of September and peak during the middle of October. But, the color can last until mid November in parts of New England.

Connecticut

If you’re planning to be in Connecticut, don’t miss a tour of Clyde’s Cider Mill in Mystic. You can watch cider demonstrations from the middle of October to the middle of November. In case you’re a wine lover, plan to visit the Connecticut Wine Trail. As you meander through the scenery, you will be able to learn about the various types of wine.

Maine

Meanwhile, if you’re looking for a long stretch of highway, visit Maine. As you head through the state, you’ll experience rivers, wildlife and old boats. For you hikers, head to Acadia National Park. And for early birds, you will be happy you’re up to experience the beautiful picturesque sunrise. If you’re a camper, there are many campgrounds throughout the park.

Massachusetts

Since I live in the state, I have a lot of fantastic ideas. Because the air is cooler, it is the perfect time to meander throughout the state. You can plan a road trip and visit the Berkshires. Since there are so many fun fall events in the area, you may not know what to choose to do. Some fun things to do in the area are to take a Pumpkin Walk or from various points in the area, you can experience a beautiful view and foliage.

Or, you can plan a hike. Another fun fall activity in Massachusetts is to go apple picking. Or, you can get lost and find your way out of a corn maze at Connors Farm in Danvers. Indeed, any puzzle lover will enjoy the curves and the path to find your way.

New Hampshire

Ultimately, New Hampshire has some of the best scenic highways. In the first place, plan to stand on top of the Summit of Mount Washington. Additionally, there are many hiking trails and mountains to explore. With so many mountains, you can see the foliage from so many vantage points.

Consequently, any fitness lover will enjoy hiking, biking or canoeing in the Northern part of the state.

Rhode Island

So even though Rhode Island is the smallest state in New England; there are many vineyards to visit. Also, you can find several farm stands throughout the state and pick some delicious fruits and vegetables.

Another way to see the state is to tour the area by boat.

Vermont

Of course, if you’re looking to see beautiful foliage, head to Battle Monument. You’re able to see the landscape by taking the elevator to the top. Another great option in the state is to take a Lake Champlain cruise or for you adventure lovers, explore the foliage on a Hot Air Balloon for an amazing experience.
