Fashion friends are fun people we enjoy spending the day with for a shopping excursion. So, my friend, Rose has been a close friend of mine for 30 plus years and counting.
Fashion Friends
From the time we met in college over a heavy book in a accounting class we have been inseparable. We both complimented each other regularly on what we were wearing. From there, we took turns bringing the accounting book and sitting next to each other.
As we became better acquainted, we realized we had a lot in common in terms of similar family dynamics and our love of fashion. Rose married in her late 20’s and started a family right away. I became married to my business and wasn’t looking for a lifetime partner until my mid 30’s. Our personal lives may have gone differently but our love of fashion never died.
I married later in life to my soul mate – the perfect man for me. A future post will be dedicated to him next month as we celebrate 11 years of marriage.
Every year Nordstrom has their Yearly Anniversary Sale in July and a Holiday Party in December. Rose and I have been frequenting this regularly for many years. We enjoy our shopping days and because we have similar taste we compliment each others styles. A few months ago after my Sister Edie passed away we hit a bump in our friendship. True friendship can endure the road bumps and we were able to pave our way back to being the best of fashion friends.
I usually shop with my Friend’s Husband every Holiday season however this year he didn’t want to bother me after the loss of my Sister. He purchased a few things on his own, one being a Saks Fifth Avenue Gift Card. We have plans to meet in the Store next week (may have already shopped by the time this post is live). As two fashion friends who appreciate better goods, I’m sure we will have a blast shopping.
There is nothing like having someone in your life who are fashion friends. Enjoy venturing out for a day of fun, fashion and girl time.
