Since cooler weather in New England has arrived, I’ll share some of my favorite fun fall activities to make the most of the season. As well as cooler temperatures, the leaves have been changing color. Tourists flock to New England to see the beautiful fall foliage.
Fun Fall Activities
So, below are some ideas for fun fall activities. If you live in New England, there are many options available locally. I will take you through each of the 6 New England States to kick off the fall season.
Massachusetts
Massachusetts has peaks and stunning river valleys that are perfect for seeing the leaves change color during fall foliage season. Also, find beautiful color North of Boston, Plymouth and the Berkshires. When I was in Wholesale Apparel, nothing gave me more pleasure than taking a drive to the Berkshires. Of course, lush colors were plentiful.
Maine
While in Maine, visit the State Parks for fall leaf peeping. Enjoy a leisure drive. Plan ample opportunity to stop and take photographs. Stroll through the Maine Woods.
Connecticut
Leaf peeping season begins the middle of September and runs through mid to late October. Also, Connecticut’s Wine Trail is a fun fall activity that has Visitor’s sample tastings. Additionally, Connecticut is a short drive from New York. Visit the wooded areas of Litchfield and the Mystic region.
Rhode Island
The small state of Rhode Island has an abundance of vibrant fall colors. Best colors are in October. Gorgeous foliage can be seen at Roger Williams Park and Zoo in Providence. In addition, take a drive along route #1 and #1A and visit Westerly and Wickford.
New Hampshire
New Hampshire is enveloped in color. Peak fall foliage is best seen during the first two weeks of October. Later in the months, the leaves start to turn brown. Visit Kancamagus Highway to see and smell the bright color leaves. Also, plan a hike to experience beautiful foliage. Even if you’re not a hiker, take a drive to experience the heart of New England in breathtaking foliage.
Vermont
Fall foliage peaks early in October. Since a lot of foliage has occurred, visit the Mountains. Also, see pumpkin and spooky celebrations throughout the month of October.
Conclusion
So, you made your way throughout New England. There are so many fun fall activities to do. Find a local apple or pumpkin patch. Tailgate at a football game. Bake something pumpkin. Visit my prior pumpkin post for ideas.
