Great Expectations – things to look for this Season
Great Expectations are exciting this season with so many new trends. With Pantone’s 2016 colors of the year, trends in romance, lace, lingerie, showing some skin, new bohemian, and white fashions – I am excited to see the impact this has on the Fashion Specialty Stores and Boutiques and Home Furnishings for Spring and Summer.
Romance
Romance is important to have in our lives. With flower prints and English roses seen in abundance in prints in both home décor and fashions, I think this is a trend that has sustainability. In essence, Flowers evoke romance. Roses smell nice and are wonderful to receive. Wearing floral prints, lace trimmed styles, and ruffles all are perfect for a romantic setting. The off the shoulder long sleeve blouse with a cold shoulder neckline is perfect to wear as featured below with black pants or a long flowy skirt.
For London Fashion Week many Designers paid tribute to the Great Gatsby theme, Great Expectations, and Beetle Juice. The Designers captured the romantic trend with embellished and delicate necklines and trimmings. In particular, shoes, handbags, shawls, jewelry, and lingerie had embroidered and floral details in the design. Sophia Webster has some beautiful romantic shoes available for the upcoming season. The style I found below is a beautiful shoe comparable to design found in many of Sophia Webster’s footwear at a fraction of the price.
Great Expectations whether in something fun, fashionable, for your home, or personal life is something we all anticipate.
