With the holiday season underway, I have some holiday fun date night ideas for you to get excited about. So if you’re not already excited hopefully my ideas will put a smile to your face.
Food
Even though many of us are being more food conscious, there are a lot of great holiday recipes to try. If you’re not following any type of diet and want to splurge, there is an excess of candy, cookies, and bake goods available. Also many restaurants have special holiday menus during the season.
In addition, many Gingerbread Houses are made. Trade in your beverage for a peppermint flavor hot chocolate or coffee drink.
Holiday Fun Decorations
Holiday lights and decorations are everywhere. Take a stroll or drive around a neighborhood. Of course, you will see all kinds of displays this time of year. Also you can decorate your home and add trimmings to make it extra special.

Provided that you live in an area that has snow, you can:

- Snowball fight
- Snow Angels
- Ski
- Sledding

Friends and Family
In view of the holiday season, there always seems to be more gatherings with family and friends. Also, many out-of-town relatives visit during the holiday season.
In the first place, may couples host parties. Once December hits, there always seems to be a party or event to attend. My first holiday happening is an event benefitting a Children’s Hospital that I am attending with a close friend. One of my favorite events is hosted by friends of my Husband and I. Our friends home always has beautiful decorations, fun, great music and food. Furthermore, our friend is a musician and usually plays guitar and some of his band members sing some songs.
Moreover, I am also going to the Marblehead Christmas Walk. The Marblehead Christmas Walk is always one of my favorite events to go to during the holiday season. When my Mother was alive, this was an event that I went to with her yearly since I was a teenager. As an adult I go yearly with one of my best friends. Not only do I enjoy attending the event, but I enjoy the beautiful decorations, run into old friends, and find a lot of unique holiday gifts.
Additionally, I will be going to another yearly event with another friend. We enjoy going to the yearly Nordstrom Holiday Party. This year’s event is different from prior years. It is a morning brunch/shopping party.
Whether you’re single or already a couple, plan something romantic to do with your significant other. Put up some mistletoe and a holiday movie for a night of romance.
