Although Joan’s journey ended due to her deciding to leave to support her daughter through a medical emergency; she was open to being cast as the first Golden Bachelorette.
She lives in Rockville, Maryland, and has 4 kids and 3 grandchildren. Since 2021, she has worked in alumni relations at the Landon School which is located in her home state.
Joan was married for 32 years before becoming a widow.
Since Joan’s husband died in 2021; Joan now feels she is open to meeting someone special. However, she assured her daughters, that she is not looking to replace their dad. She just hopes her family will be whole again.
So, will Joan’s journey end better than Gerry’s?
Will she find someone special to spend her life with?

Joan’s Final Four
Of course, Reality Steve has already let the audience know, that these are the final four men.
- Chock Chapple – Chock is 60 years old and owns his own business. When Chock isn’t working; he is spending time with his kids, and grandkids, exercising and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs.
- Guy Gansert – Guy is 66 years old and is employed as an emergency room doctor. After spending over 40 years helping others in his profession as a doctor; he hopes to find a person to spend the rest of his life with. Also, Guy believes age is a number.
- Jordan Heller-Jodan is 61 years old and is a half-full kind of man. Jordan works as a sales manager. When he isn’t working; you can find him walking his dog and spending time with his three daughters and three brothers. In addition, he doesn’t take life too seriously and is hoping Joan isn’t afraid to be silly.
- Pascal Ibgul – Pascal is a 69-year-old French businessman who hopes to meet someone to spend the rest of his life with. He is a proud father and grandfather and is ready to start the next chapter of his life.
Who Will Win Joan’s Final Rose
Because The Golden Bachelor was one of the most popular shows in ABC’s history; will The Golden Bachelorette have the same success?
Though the season hasn’t even started yet; according to Reality Steve Joan chooses Guy Gansert. Furthermore, there are no reports that she is engaged to Guy. Moreover, Reality Steve doesn’t always get it right. In fact, during Joey Graziadei’s season; he reported Joey gives his final rose to Daisy. But, later he backtracked, and right before the season concluded; he reported that Kelsey receives Joey’s final rose.
So, Bachelor Nation will just have to wait and see if Reality Steve is right.
