Were you born on February 29th?
Were you born on February 29th? Chances of having a birthday are 1 in 1,461. Those born on February 29th are known as leaplings or leapers. In a non-leap year, many leaplings chose to celebrate their birthday on either February 28th or March 1st. If you were born after midnight on February 29th, you should celebrate your birthday on February 28th, and if you were born before midnight on March 1st, then you should celebrate your birthday on that day. What happens if you were born the middle of the day? Of course, the choice is yours. Approximately 4.1 million people around the world were born on February 29th. If your birthday is February 29th, Pisces is the zodiac sign and amethyst is the birthstone for the month.
Movie
Back in 2010, Leap Year was released as a movie. It was a romantic comedy about a Girl who celebrates a four year Anniversary with her boyfriend. She was hoping for an engagement ring and when she doesn’t receive one, she decides to take matters into her own hands. Since the inspiration in the Irish tradition allows Women to propose to men on Leap Day, she decides to propose to her boyfriend. Her boyfriend is away and she follows him to Dublin to propose however along the way discovers the road to love takes you to unexpected people and places. Since this is a light hearted feel-good movie, I highly recommend seeing.
