November 3 is the most important election in our lifetime. With so many issues going on, not only in this country; but throughout the world, it is each person’s responsibility to cast their vote.

Whether you’re planning to vote in person or through the mail; your vote will shape the future presidency.
When Donald Trump was elected in 2016; a lot of people were surprised. In fact, his victory stunned many – including me.
When it comes to your vote; it is especially important. Not only will the presidential race impact college students, young people, and the environment; but, your vote is important if you care about your future.
Indeed, it is important to vote on all elections.
In fact, every USA citizen 18 and older have the right to be part of the political process. But, did you know every vote counts? In fact, sometimes a question or election could be decided by your vote.
Why you Should Vote
So, if you are not sure why you should vote; below is the importance of each person’s vote.
- In the first place, each vote shows you care about the issues facing our country.
- At the same time, young people have the power to make changes. When you vote, you have the chance to be heard, and vocalize what you want for our country.
- Older people tend to vote more often.
- However, millennials have the opportunity to transform the country. If each young person voted between the age of 18 – 24; this would have an impact on the race and other important questions.
- Don’t be a complainer – Be proactive!

- Meanwhile, health issues have been a problem for some time. In light of COVID-19; this pandemic has killed many people throughout the world. Are you happy with the way Trump has handled the pandemic?
- With the Affordable Health Care Acts‘ future questionable; many believe this country needs a Universal Single Pay Health Care bill which would cover everyone. Although you may have doubts about this; certainly it is probable you won’t see it, if you don’t cast your vote.
- This race will impact the Supreme Court. Moreover, four Supreme Justices are in their 70s and 2 in their 80s. At the age of 87, Ruth Bader Ginsberg died. With her death, there was a huge increase in voter registration. Since many understand that the Supreme Court Justice can have an impact on civil rights; your vote is more important than ever.
- Of course, climate change is a huge issue. Not only is this threatening humanity; but also has become a huge issue in the world. With more hurricanes, floods, heatwaves, droughts, wildfires, and other global issues; many think it could lead to extinction.
- Moreover, if you want to stand up for your beliefs and help defend our country from a dictatorship government; it is important to not take your rights for granted.
- With diversity issues facing the world, i.e., black lives matter; your vote is more important than ever. Alternatively, by not voting; you are making it easier for politicians to gain power.
- Since many people don’t have the right to vote; don’t take this right for granted. Your vote counts. By not voting, you are ignoring your basic rights.

Nonetheless, this year’s election has been back and forth between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Whatever happens, will shape future generations as well.
With COVID-19 shutting down most of the country for many months, gun violence rising, and diversity issues throughout the country; will Trump be re-elected as the President of the United States or will Joe Biden and his Vice Presidential choice, Kamala Harris win?
For the health of our democracy and a better world – November 3 is the most important election.
