So, if you’re like me; you enjoy attending a Holiday Fair. With the holiday season officially a few weeks away; there are already a lot of holiday craft fairs taking place.
Indeed, retailers are getting people ready for the holiday earlier this year. When I recently ran an errand in the shopping mall; I was surprised to see a booth set up to meet Santa Claus.
Gingerbread Holiday Fair
So, every year on the first weekend in November; there is the first big holiday fair in the Boston area. Since the New England Patriots had a bye week; I convinced my Hubby to attend the fair with me.
Although I have attended this fair many times in the past; I was surprised the fair was a lot smaller than I remembered. In the same fashion; I always enjoy seeing the Gingerbread Houses created for this event. For me, the Gingerbread competition is the highlight of the fair.
Moreover, the Gingerbread Houses created for this event are sold with all proceeds to benefit Housing Families. Hence, this is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to ending homelessness. Additionally, this organization works to provide affordable housing for the homeless and low-income families.
Consequently, this year’s Gingerbread Houses were unique. Although the Gingerbread House below won the Best in the Show; there were others, I thought were much more creative.
In my opinion, the Gingerbread House’s below were some of the best of the show.
Since many families attend the fair; I noticed a lot of the kids loved the Gingerbread House below.
New England Craft & Specialty Food Fair
After attending the Gingerbread Holiday Fair, I learnt about a Holiday Fair close to my neck of the woods. This Fair is at the Arena on the Topsfield Fairgrounds.
Because I didn’t end up buying much at last week’s Fair; I went twice over the weekend. Moreover, I ended up finding a lot of great specialty oils, soaps, home items and ornaments.
Holiday Fair Season
With the holidays right around the corner; the Holiday Fair season is underway. So, if you’re looking for something unique; indeed you will find a lot of different items that you won’t see at your local shopping mall. In addition, you’re able to find a lot of handmade items as well as items that you can have personalized.
