Shoe Obsession

From the time I was a little girl; I began my Shoe Obsession. Indeed, shoes have always been a special part of my life. I was always in my Mother’s Closet trying on shoes and prancing around the House in my Mother’s pumps.

Even though the shoes were too big on me; I couldn’t wait to fit into them and there began my love affair with shoes.

Shoe Obsession

When Sex and the City started; my favorite part of the show was Carrie’s Bradshaw’s shoe obsession with Manolo Blahnik. Of course, I could relate and my vocabulary began with:

  Shoe Excitement

  Shoes are a source of excitement, confidence, and fun for me.  Ultimately, I often stare at my large walk-in closet of shoes arranged by color in clear shoe-bins. Shortly after my husband and I were married; we began looking for a new Construction Home. My Husband jokingly teased me that we could build a House with my Shoe Collection.

• Of course, he would tease me regularly on my shoe obsession. Hence, he couldn’t understand why I needed so many pairs of shoes and was always shopping for more. Consequently, he counted over 100 pairs at one point.  Also, he suggested that I donate some of my shoes before thinking of purchasing new ones. Happily married for over 10 years now; my Husband may still question my need for shoes and space it takes in my walk-in closet; however I think he understands me better and my need and desire to have so many different shoe styles in the same color. In essence, his philosophy has been the opposite of mine  He doesn’t buy a new pair of shoes until he feels he needs a new pair. Since being married to me, his shoe section in his closet has expanded. He now has many different colors and styles that I’m constantly buying.
  

  Prada Mary Janes

  I had one pair of shoes I was determined to buy the minute I saw them on-line and am happy to report that I successfully purchased the Prada Pink Mary Jane Shoes that were at the top of my list for this Fall. Indeed, I already have these in my walk-in closet and seeing them brings a smile to my face. When I was recently reading In-Style; a Photographer also has these on her bucket list. Moreover, these shoes are wait-listed at many Stores already.

  

  Although I scored the Mary Jane Shoes for Fall, I haven’t ruled out adding more to my closet this season as my Shoe Obsession continues.
