I have been looking forward to today, April 4th as the Boston Red Sox was today for the first game of the 2016 season against the Cleveland Indians.  Although the game was coming from Cleveland, Ohio – the game was put off because of inclement weather conditions on this snowy April Monday.

Today isn’t April Fools Day, but it has been snowing since early morning and there are no signs of stopping.   This past Winter, Massachusetts didn’t receive a lot of snow.  Today’s snowfall seems to be adding up to be the most thus far this Winter.

Working from my laptop, I was upset to learn the Opening Day baseball game was being put off until tomorrow.  The weather is still going to be cold and damp tomorrow.  I always wonder why the baseball season doesn’t begin with East Coast teams playing in warmer climates.  Opening their season on the West Coast would be a viable option.

Listening to sports shows, many announcers were echoing my sentiments.  Tomorrow they will try to get the game in for a 1:00 p.m. start.    Since I will wait another day for the season to start.  The Pitcher’s prepare and now have to get mentally and physically ready to make their start a day later.  I’m hoping an extra day leads to a win for my Red Sox team.

April Snow Storms

The last time I remember receiving snow was the April Fools Day Storm that went from March 31st – April 1st in 1997.    On Sunday we received a dusting of snow in the morning hours.  Of course today it is still snowing outside covering the trees and the road.

Though the calendar says we are in the Spring Season, mother nature isn’t cooperating.  Winter is still hanging around.  In conclusion, what are you doing on this Snowy April Monday?

Happy Snowy April Monday!
