Summer Shoe Obsession has begun, as I ventured out recently for a day of shoe shopping. The weather has been getting warmer and consequently, I’m now ready to start wearing the shoes I bought for the Summer season.
I’m considered a shoe trendsetter by those who know me well. I have several friends who always glance at my footwear the minute they see me.
Now is the perfect time for me to break out my warm weather shoe styles. Every shoe tells a story. This season, I had a difficult time buying a lot of new shoes and sandals. Many of the shoes I saw lacked excitement and I’m not a big fan of the round toe trend. A few years ago, I found myself downsizing in heel height. I can no longer wear extremely high heels. The perfect heel height for me is between 2 – 3 1/2 inches.
Summer Shoe Obsession
While shopping in several better Specialty shoe stores and online recently, I found several striking pumps and sandals with flower details that I liked. Another big trend that I gravitated to were denim fabric sandals and leather sandals with metallic heels. I purchased several pairs of denim sandals. One of the sandals by Vince that I liked took me a while to receive. The first pair I ordered, I never received as it was inadvertently sent to the wrong address. Luckily, I was able to score these sandals from another retailer. I loved the two-toned denim look and the padded insole made these extremely comfortable.
Designer shoe sales have recently started and I recently ordered a pair of Denim embroidered wedge sandals. I’m looking forward to wearing my denim sandals all season long. Another sandal I fell in love with was by Robert Clergerie. I own several shoes by Robert Clergerie and always find their footwear well made and most importantly comfortable.
I am in love with these sandals. They are super chic with the rose gold heel (2 inches) and most of all they are super comfortable.
Of course – I purchased several more styles for the season – a beautiful beaded slide (not pictured) and the silver butterfly sandals featured below – they will both be making their journey with me this Summer to Aruba.
My summer shoe obsession also included Tod’s patent leather ombre loafers featured below. I own several pairs of Tod’s and these are my go-to brand for comfort and style all year long.
