Autumn Fall in New England is my favorite time of year. As of Sunday, November 6th, we fall back an hour as Daylight Saving Time ends. Daylight Saving Time comes to an end at 2:00 a.m. this Sunday, November 6th.
Fall Back
Because it is getting colder outside, we know we’re going to lose sunlight each day. Moreover, many prefer the extra hour of sunlight at the end of the day. Although over 78 Countries observe Daylight Saving Time, it is not used in:
- China
- India
- Japan
- Russia
Also, in the United States, neither Arizona or Hawaii observe the time change.
Autumn Fall
Last year, November was unseasonably warm. Visit my Warmer Style post last November. Although warmer temperatures are predicted to be in the 60’s and 70’s the first two weeks of November, temperatures are expected to dip after that. So based on Meteorologist’s predictions, we can start taking out our sweaters and outerwear.
Autumn fall in New England is one of the most beautiful seasons. Visit my Fun Fall Activities People Love post for some fun things to do this season. Of course, seeing beautiful fall foliage, apple picking or tailgating are all fun things to do during the month of November.
Because a cooler second half of November is expected, time to turn on the heat. Since I’m always hot, I usually wait awhile before turning it on. Luckily, my Husband is usually on board in regards to the heat.
Change
As temperatures dip and sunlight fades, plan some fun activities for the month. Some of my favorite things to do in November are:
- Participate in a Craft or Painting Class
- Make something crafty for the Holiday Season
- Take a drive to see picturesque scenery
- Take a walk in the brisk cool air
- Plan some get together(s) with friends
Of course on Thanksgiving Day, I break out the holiday decorations as I watch the Macy’s Annual Thanksgiving parade.
Especially important this weekend is to remember to turn your clock back an hour. In conclusion, we can all relish an extra hour in bed this weekend.
Happy Autumn Fall!
