The holiday in the United States is celebrated on the last Monday of May to commemorate men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. This year, the holiday falls on Monday, May 30th.

For me – the holiday begins the Summer season. It is a good time during the month of May to pack away winter fashions. Many think it is the month to start wearing white. White is a color that I wear all year so I personally have never paid attention to the fashion rule that is outdated.
Kick-off the holiday weekend in style. Time to bring out the warmer weather clothes and keep a lightweight sweater or denim jacket (Bomber jacket – see my prior post). Many styles are perfect for the holiday. Depending on what part of the world you live in, it may be a little cool to break out the halters and shorts yet. Denim works well for both Men and Women. Jeans can be paired with a t-shirt, tank top (if it is warmer), or a dressier shirt. The tank top below is perfect for all summer long. If it is cooler outside, add a wrap or denim jacket.
